Washington State Misappropriated $340 Million in COVID Relief Funds for Illegal Alien Giveaways

Washington state used hundreds of millions of federal COVID relief funds to provide giveaways to the state’s illegal immigrant population, a new report has concluded.

In April 2021, the state legislature approved $340 million in funding as part of the Immigrant Relief Fund that, according to its annual report, was designed to provide “targeted community engagement, communications development efforts, and trusted messengers to encourage eligible community members to apply.”

However, what has only just emerged was that the money for that program came from the federally approved American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which provided $350 billion for local governments “to support their response to and recovery from the COVID-19 public health emergency.”

The Economic Policy Innovation Center explained in its latest report:

The report found that federal funds were therefore used to fund $1,000 cash giveaways to illegal aliens who had crossed the southern border and set up shop in the state of Washington:

Unfortunately, EPIC also found that Washington was far from the only state misappropriating huge amounts of money for illicit purposes. Millions of dollars were also wasted by local governments in Texas, Arizona, Maine, Massachusetts, Illinois, and the District of Columbia on illegal immigrant populations.

“While the Biden Administration continues to hit a record number of encounters along the southern border, EPIC has uncovered a pattern of SLFRF projects approved by the Treasury Department related to undocumented immigrants or asylum seekers,” the report notes.

These funds were used for everything from citizenship applications and transportation all the way through to art, music, and dance classes.

The only good news found in the report is that EPIC claims to have found $102 billion that could potentially be clawed back by Congress, although it remains to be seen whether they will follow through on this proposal.

The revelations underscore the shocking amounts of money being spent across the U.S.propping up the seemingly never-ending flow of illegal immigrants entering the country on a daily basis.

According to some estimates, at least 10 million people have unlawfully entered the U.S. since Joe Biden took office in 2021, nearly all of whom will be costing the average American considerable amounts of tax dollars.

  1. Anyone wanna bet that the misused Covid funds will never be returned to the treasury? One might wonder if it was the intent of the administration to allow these excess funds to be used to prop up their massive influx of new democrat votes.

  2. Once upon a time I was a very proud Democrat. Bit those days are gone with the cheating, and lawbreaking actions that were used, and proved, in the election of Joe Biden. He is a man who doesn’t give a damn about the American people, just their money. And now, their lack of it. He spends and spends, and what does he have to show for it? NOTHING! He has destroyed the Executive Offices of the President, corrupted the DOJ, IRS, FBI, Dept of Education and the Dept. of Transportation. He spends taxpayer money for all of his vacations and side trips, remember we, the people, pay for Air Force One, Marine One, the Secret Service, etc. wherever he goes. Too bad he forgets were the President lives, in the White House, and his office is located there. If you wanted continued spending, two or three wars going on, More sex in the Capital Buildings, a part-time President, then vote for Joe, he’s the man for you. But remember, with President Joe, he’ll spend every last cent you have, your children will have, and even the last cent of your grandchildren. Go broke with Joe.
