With Democrats in the White House, the Biden Administration has made it clear that they only cater to unions and have their best interest at heart. They’ve favored unions and reaffirmed them as the central role in the White House, which leaves the rest of the businesses and corporations left to fend for themselves. Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently called out the Biden administration’s biased against Musk and talked about how President Biden kicked Tesla out of his electric vehicle summit.
Musk explained during an interview at the Code conference how President Biden praised GM, Ford, Chrysler, and United Auto Workers for leading the electric vehicle revolution, but didn’t even mention Tesla once. Tesla is currently the largest electric vehicle maker in the United States and was not even invited to the EV summit. Musk asked the audience if that was a “little biased” of the President and adds that the Biden White House is not always the friendliest administration. He later adds that they are “controlled by unions.”
Musk has not only mentioned problems Biden has with his electric vehicle company but also with his Space X accomplishments. He was asked by one of his Twitter followers why the President of the United States has refused to acknowledge the 4 newest American astronauts who helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for St. Jude. They asked Musk what his Theory on that is. “He’s still sleeping,” Musk replied in reference to Biden’s nickname, Sleepy Joe.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked why Tesla had been dropped from the summit, in which he suggested that it was because the company did not have a union. She said the Biden Administration welcomes the efforts of all automakers who recognize the potential of an electric vehicle future and support the efforts to help the President reach that goal.
“Today, it’s United Auto Workers’ three biggest employers, and UAW President Joe will stand with President Biden as he announces his ambitious new goal, but I don’t expect this to be the last time we’re going to have clean cars. Let’s talk about the move towards electric vehicles, and we look forward to having a range of partners in that effort,” Psaki said.
When Psaki was asked if Tesla was pulled from the event because it was not unionized, she replied that the three largest employers of the United Auto Workers were at the summit and told reporters to “draw your own conclusions.”
Many people attacked Musk for the criticism and called him out for the “corporate welfare” he accepts on behalf of his numerous companies. While Tesla has already repaid its federal loans, Ford and GM still owe billions.
Unions have owned Democrats since the beginning of political parties and the Biden Admin has been trying to slow down Tesla and Space X from growing. Musk has also been in direct competition with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, who owns the left-leaning Washington Post.
President Biden has emphasized climate change and the impact that fossil fuels have on our planet but has refused to invite Tesla, where 80% of the electric cars come from. He continues to weaken the US economically and politically and put Bezos and his rocket company on the front ends. But hey, Musk is right. Maybe Biden is still sleeping.
