NPR and Hunter Biden Bounce Around The Same Laptop Lie

NPR has been recently criticized for its portrayal of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, whose laptop was seized by U.S Intelligence Officials for having questionable receipts and emails regarding foreign business affairs. The Hunter Biden laptop story gained popularity after the New York Post’s original story about it was suppressed and censored by Twitter and Facebook last year, which was a massive example of Big Tech censorship prior to the 2020 presidential election.

The laptop revealed findings of drug use, family corruption, a financial statement from the Mayor of Moscow’s wife for $3.5 million dollars, over $850k in payoffs from sitting on the Burisma energy board in Ukraine, and a handful of questionable email interactions between Hunter and Chinese bankers. He was also receiving as much as $50,000 per month from the Burisma energy board, which was considered a ‘conflict of interest’ since Joe Biden, who was vice president at the time, was involved in a U.S policy towards Ukraine.

The article highlighted his memoir and portrayed the laptop as a part of a ‘Russian disinformation campaign,’ even though FBI and Justice Department officials clarified that it was not linked to Russia in any way. NPR went so far as to write that intelligence officials had completely ‘discredited’ the investigation into the laptop, which is completely false. But then again, liberal news organizations will say whatever fits their narrative.

The original NPR article stated that the “laptop story was discredited by U.S intelligence and independent investigations by news organizations,” then later updated their story to read that “Numerous news organizations cast doubt on the credibility of the laptop story.” That’s quite a change in writing.

On a recent CBS interview, Hunter joined correspondent Tracy Smith to promote his new memoir “Beautiful Things” while discrediting the laptop as part of a “debunked conspiracy theory” that Russian intelligence officials were behind. At first, he said he had no idea whether or not the laptop was his and then was pressed further about the ownership, in which he admitted that the laptop “could” be his.

The laptop was dropped off at a Delaware computer repair shop in April 2019, but the shop owner was unable to identify whether the individual who dropped off the laptop was Hunter Biden. He notified federal officials of the laptop and it was seized by the FBI for investigation. At the time of the laptop investigation, the Justice Department was also looking into Hunter’s tax affairs.

“You don’t know, yes or no, if the laptop was yours? So it could’ve been yours?” Smith asked.

“Certainly, there could be a laptop out there that was stolen from me. It could be that I was hacked, it could be that it was Russian intelligence. It could be that it was stolen from me,” Hunter said.

Coverup for the Biden family scandals becomes more evident by the day. While NPR changed their article after being caught in a web of lies, the “correction” shows up at the bottom of the piece after paragraphs of promoting Hunter Biden’s new memoir. There’s a reason why they are called ‘fake news.’
