Trump Pushed the Vaccines, Yet Fauci Gives Himself Pat on the Back

One of the ways that Donald Trump was dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic was to push for vaccines. He knew that it was a critical component to helping the country get back to a normal way of life.

While Trump was working with researchers from around the globe, Dr. Fauci was focused on telling everyone to socially distance and to wear one mask…or even two if it wasn’t a good fit.

Now, Trump is out of office. However, Dr. Fauci remains in the spotlight because of being a trusted advisor to President Biden.

Dr. Fauci seems to be remembering things a lot differently than how they actually went down.

“It may have been the best decision that I’ve ever made.”

That’s what Dr. Fauci has to say about the rapid rollout of the COVID vaccines.

Wow, the audacity on this guy. He wants to pretend as though he was the mastermind behind it all.

The long-time director of the NIAID has been enjoying his rise in popularity. He’s maintained his position since the early 1980s, though no one knew who he was. He worked in the background to ensure that the country didn’t suffer from allergies or infectious diseases.

Now, Dr. Fauci is a pop culture icon. As he basks in the fame of telling everyone how to deal with COVID, he’s decided that he wants to take credit for everything that has gone right with the pandemic.

He isn’t even taking a humble approach. He’s giving himself quite the pat on the back, saying that he got the ball rolling and that it’s his decision that is now allowing everyone to be vaccinated and resume normal life.

Anyone who has been following the story long enough knows that Dr. Fauci is full of it. Trump was the one to start the development of the COVID vaccine.

Dr. Fauci was still struggling with what to tell everyone. First, he told everyone that there was no need to be wearing masks. So, no one did. Then, just months later, he told everyone that masks were essential to stopping the spread. The problem was no one wanted to listen to him. After all, the supposed “expert” just said that there was no need.

So, which is it?

Well, Dr. Fauci insisted on masks. Not just one but two. Then, he decided that three might be better. Really? And, while he was busy counting the number of masks he thought people should wear, he was also working to get the COVID vaccine developed.

Yeah, that’s not exactly true.

Let’s deal in facts.

Fauci isn’t some brainiac who decided that a vaccine was necessary to combat a deadly disease sweeping the globe. Nope. Plenty of others were aware of that, too.

It was Trump who negotiated Operation Warp Speed, which was to incentivize private companies to research and develop vaccines – the same vaccines that we are now using to vaccinate people around the globe.

The only thing that Dr. Fauci managed to do throughout the pandemic is to create scare tactics. He confused the issues. One of the reasons there are still so many people not wearing masks is because of what he told the masses back in February and March of last year.

Dr. Fauci has even said that once people are vaccinated, social distancing and masks may need to continue for a year or more.

He’s not even offering a glimmer of hope so that people feel more inclined to get vaccinated.

It’s possible that the NIAID director may feel as though his time in the spotlight is coming to an end. So, he’s going to take credit for as much as he can – even though he had very little to do with any of it.

He’s been wrong about it all – masks, herd immunity, and more. We should be thankful that he wasn’t involved in the vaccines so that we can actually trust them. Now, if he’d be honest with himself, we can watch the bureaucrat fade to the background where he belongs.
