Biden Descends Into Confusion, Denial of Reality and the Polls in Atlanta

Joe Biden has been spending the weekend campaigning to try to regain the support of black voters, who he’s been losing.

He delivered remarks at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and then he met with the leaders of the Divine Nine, the nine historically black sororities and fraternities. During the remarks at the Museum, he couldn’t even get the acronym “HBCU” correct, calling them “HBGs” and messing up the name of Morehouse, the college he’s going to give the commencement address at on Sunday.

On Saturday, he flew to Atlanta to do some campaign events ahead of the Morehouse speech on Sunday.

His motorcade may have told the tale. In what should be a pretty blue city, there appeared to be hardly anyone out.

Let’s compare that to the crowd out in the deep blue South Bronx for former President Donald Trump without even the candidate there.

Then, when Biden got to his event at Mary Mac’s Tea Room, he appeared to have a great deal of confusion. The look on his face was something else — completely goofy and out of it — and then he staggered forward a few steps.

Among the people at the event was Stacey Abrams. While Democrats are always talking about “election denial,” Biden embraced her and didn’t seem to have a problem with her past history of denialism. Because they never really mean what they say when it comes to themselves.

Biden had his opponent, former President Donald Trump, living rent-free in his head again as he spoke, repeating the misleading claim that Trump said if he loses, there will be a “bloodbath.”

Trump was speaking about how Biden would hurt the auto industry and other industries economically. However, Biden doesn’t want to explain that because he’s all about whipping up fear about Trump.

He also honed in on a little girl.

Again, even among the supporters there at the event — not many people.

But Biden also denied the polls again at the event, insisting that the polls had never been right.

He also claimed that he had been ahead, tied, or just slightly behind when, in fact, according to the New York Times poll from about five days ago, he was behind by nine points in Georgia. That’s not “slightly.” He’s refusing delivery on reality again. But pretty soon, he’s not going to be able to deny reality anymore.
