BLM Thugs Torpedo Kyle Rittenhouse Event in Memphis, Attack Attendees

Black Lives Matter were up to their usual tricks on Wednesday as protesters successfully torpedoed an event at the University of Memphis featuring Second Amendment campaigner Kyle Rittenhouse.

Rittenhouse, who in 2021 was acquitted of all charges after killing two men in self-defense during a Black Lives Matter riot in Kenosha, was giving the speech as part of a Turning Point USA tour focusing on the importance of the Second Amendment.

TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk detailed the situation on the X platform, revealing that university authorities had worked with the far-left activists in an attempt to ruin the event.

“Leftwing agitators are swarming the University of Memphis ahead of tonight’s campus event with Kyle Rittenhouse, chanting “Lock his a** up” and later ‘F*** his a** up,'” Kirk wrote. “The school has gone to incredible lengths to hamstring this event.”

Kirk explained that administrators shared information with BLM, forcing a ticketing system that allowed protesters to attend and refusing to physically intervene when they interrupted the event.

Also present for the mayhem was Julio Rosas, a former Townhall reporter whose footage from Kenosha almost certainly led to Rittenhouse’s acquittal.

According to Rosas, the crowd tried to physically attack people who attended the event, while others spat on vehicles and tried to prevent people from leaving.

According to Mail Online, Rittenhouse “was barely able to get a word out after he took the stage on Wednesday before his voice was overwhelmed by protesters,” while “some protesters even brought musical instruments like saxophones, and even an entire drum kit, to make the speech even harder to hear.”

Such protests are par for the course for any conservative speaker, with dozens if not hundreds of similar incidents taking place over the past decade. Perhaps the most memorable was back in February 2017 when leftists at the University of California Berkley caused hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage while protesting a speech by provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos.

  1. Schools, or any other organization that allows this sort of anti-freedom demonstration, needs to be held accountable.

Maybe sue them for all costs associated with the event.
