In early February, the US House of Representatives held a hearing surrounding censorship by social media companies that produced several viral moments. One of those surrounding the “questioning” of former Twitter flack Yoel Roth by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. And by questioning, I mean lathering up.
During the exchange, the congresswoman didn’t bother to stand up for the people who had their voices unfairly silenced by sites like Twitter because why would a Democrat care about that? Instead, she used her time to go completely off-topic and attack Chiya Raichik, also known as Libs of TikTok.
Ocasio-Cortez claimed that Raichik had lied about Boston Children’s Hospital performing hysterectomies as part of “gender-affirming care” for “transgender” youth. In reality, Raichik had multiple tapes of hospital employees admitting the procedures were available. Further, the hospital had put out a video itself (prior to all the attention) advertising that fact. RedState reported on that almost a year ago.
In other words, Ocasio-Cortez was lying through her teeth.
Notice how confident Ocasio-Cortez was. She’s so tough, right? She speaks her mind and doesn’t take any nonsense! No one scares her!
Well, that laughable narrative took another hit on Thursday after Raichik showed up at the Capitol Building to visit with Ocasio-Cortez. Here’s how that went.
Ocasio-Cortez was apparently in the office, yet refused to come out. Her handler answered the door and said “gimmie a minute” only to never return. Does that strike you as the behavior of someone with courage?
This is what Democrats always do. They talk a big game, but when they are put in a position to actually have to defend their lies and lunacy, they run and hide like the cowards they are. Why? Because they know they don’t have the goods to back it up. They know that they can’t defend their viewpoints and the assertions they make. Better to hide behind a compliant press and the rules of a House hearing than actually speak directly to the person they slandered.
Ocasio-Cortez hates Raichik and is willing to lie about her for one reason: She exposes the insanity of the left in their own words. She takes what they believe and lays it out for everyone to see, doesn’t add anything to it, and lets the chips fall. That’s what makes the Libs of TikTok account so important. The mask is off, and it’s not going back on.
