Since former President Barack Obama’s birthday celebration, at least 63 people tested positive for COVID-19. The party had about 300-400 people at Martha’s Vineyard, compared to some states that still have social distancing restrictions in place. That’s a pretty big party for a bunch of Democrats in fear of COVID-19.
With a surge of COVID-19 and Delta variant cases, Democrat leaders have threatened to shut down their states, instill mask mandates, and force vaccines into the arm of every American. But leaders seem to turn a blind eye to the former Democratic president’s super-spreader birthday event. Every day, COVID-19 just gets more political.
Local health spokesperson Maura Valley shared that they are “not aware” if any of the cases are connected to Obama’s party, but that they happened directly after. She adds that they are going to do comprehensive contact tracing to investigate further and that it’s still a little too early to tell.
In the week leading to Obama’s birthday event, there were 48 new cases reported on the island. After the event, numbers have continued to climb, with the most cases on the island since April.
You can see some of the COVID-19 case trails with Obama’s party guests. Bradley Cooper, for example, stayed at the Harbor View Hotel where multiple staffers later tested positive for COVID-19. But it’s just more proof that the liberal elites believe they are above the rules while expecting the rest of us to follow them.
Hundreds of people attended the party and flew in from all over the country. While he originally planned to have 500 guests, Obama faced initial concern from the media over the event. He said he would ‘scale back’ the event, which only dropped down to 300-400 people. A list of celebrities joined the party including Beyonce and Jay-Z, Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Ton Hanks, Alicia Keys, and Bruce Springsteen. They congregated under tents together while eating and dancing. Democrats have pushed fear and panic over the Delta Variant for months just to huddle with hundreds fearlessly in a tent. It really shows that it was all a political narrative without any actual fear.
Obama even followed up after his massive party with a Sunday brunch at Beach Road restaurant by the water.
Monica Crowley, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Public Affairs, mocked Obama’s previous statement, where he called the party group a “sophisticated, vaccinated crowd.” She also attached the article indicating the 63 cases from the party. Could you imagine if this was a Trump or Republican event? The media would explode in rage, fear, and panic.
Top Republicans bashed the event and called out Obama for being a hypocrite who doesn’t even follow his own ridiculous rules. Rep. Madison Cawthorn pointed out how Americans have been able to visit dying family members because it might spread COVID-19 but Obama and liberal elitists are allowed to throw massive celebrations full of maskless people.
Rep. Jim Jordan pointed out the school mask mandates that are being pushed by Democratic leaders. “President Obama didn’t have to wear a mask at his birthday party. But your kids have to be at school. Rules for thee, but not for me,” he tweeted.
Even actor Kevin Sorbo pointed out that Covid only seems to spread at Trump rallies and church but not peaceful protests or Obama’s birthday party.
While the hundreds of maskless people at Obama’s party boasted about being in a sophisticated vaccinated crowd, it’s clear they believe they are above the American people and can get away with it. The mainstream media and the rest of the Democrats won’t say much. Even though it’s the same political party that wants to arrest people for not wearing masks and shove jabs into everyone’s arm, whether or not they want to.
