Ron DeSantis Responds to Biden’s Criticism of Florida COVID Handling has Conservatives Cheering

Gov. Ron DeSantis didn’t pull any punches when taking on President Joe Biden and his criticism of how Florida has dealt with the COVID-19 crisis according to a recent reporting The Independent Journal Review.

The president and Florida governor have been engaged in a bit of tit for tat on the national stage, and it has not disappointed viewers looking to see someone put the aging executive officer of the United States in his place.

For you see, in the upside-down land that is the thought process of the American ultra-liberal, results don’t equal proficiency and right and wrong are constructs that they wait to hear about from reality TV stars.

So with that ideological beaming light of moral relativism in mind, let’s get into today’s story:

It all starts when our hero (or, Florida’s hero) heard that he was being maligned in the mainstream media by a very old and very confused national leader who was very bad at his job. We’re talking, of course, about Biden, who has been claiming that DeSantis’ state is doomed if the Republican doesn’t start acting like a Democrat.

DeSantis’s response to Biden’s shade was that he does not want to hear “hear a blip about COVID” from Biden until the president manages to slow down the migration from northern states into his “Sunshine” paradise. This comment could have stemmed from several places, but the most obvious is that our hero seems to be saying that the proof is in the pudding, and people decide where they want to live and they decided they like Florida.

DeSantis said Wednesday, “Joe Biden has taken to himself to try to single out Florida over COVID. This is a guy who ran for president saying he was going to ‘shut down the virus.’ And what has he done? He’s imported more virus from around the world by having a wide-open southern border,” he added.

The Florida governor was referencing a report that showed that around 210,000 migrants crossed into the U.S. in July, which was the highest one-month total in 21 years, which is troubling on a multiplicity of levels. While Republicans have claimed that Biden is to blame for the influx with his incredibly lackadaisical immigration policies the more pressing issue is how that kind of unmitigated influx of both COVID positive and negative, mixed together and released on the nation, is going to impact the number of COVID cases.

“Why don’t you do your job? Why don’t you get this border secure? And until you do that, I don’t wanna hear a blip about COVID from you, thank you,” DeSantis added.

During an event at the White House on Tuesday, Biden addressed governors like DeSantis who banned mask mandates saying, “I say to these governors: Please help. But if you aren’t going to help, at least get out of the way. The people are trying to do the right thing. Use your power to save lives,” he added.

The question at hand is just this: should the governor be allowing the federal government to dictate public policy in their state? The answer, according to the structure of the states and the nature of the attitudes of the people of Florida would say no. However, advice could be considered helpful if lawmakers are at their wits ends as to what to do in their states. The only problem is that Biden’s attitudes have been entirely based on what is politically expedient, not what is effective against COVID, and that makes him what is known as a biased judge.

With that, boys and girls, we come to the end of today’s lesson on heroes, villains, and the news media that props them both up. No doubt there will be more episodes soon because if we know anything about politics, it’s that the only thing that lasts longer than the politicians are the problems they’re supposed to be solving.
