A Twitter troll who loves making anti-Democrat memes has found themselves in actual trouble with the law. The feds have brought an indictment against him and he is being accused of using Twitter to intentionally spread misinformation. Hillary Clinton voters are said to have been targeted.
Douglass Mackey, also known as Ricky Vaughn, was a major Twitter troll during the Hillary Clinton campaign. This is something that should not be landing anyone in trouble but that’s the way of the world now. This is the country that people “voted” for.
This 31-year-old man was collared in West Palm Beach, making the internet safe for the leftists once again.
He was arrested on one charge of conspiracy against rights. If convicted, he could spend up to 10 years in jail. The indictment has been unsealed, so the rest of the country has a chance to see what a mockery they are making of the justice system.
Mackey is said to have conspired with other users to convince black voters to vote by text messaging.
In their indictment, The Eastern District of New York claims that Mackey is responsible for tweeting an inflammatory image. He posted a photo of a black woman who was standing in front of a sign that read “African Americans for President Hillary”. “Avoid the Line. Vote from Home. Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925. Vote for Hillary and be a part of history” was emblazoned on the photo.
According to the filed complaint, nearly 5,000 voters ended up casting their ballots over text. Obviously, this is not an acceptable mode of voting. Buzzfeed News looked into the matter. They say that the Hillary campaign actually responded to all of the text messages and did their best to redirect everyone to the necessary channels.
This leads us to believe that there are a number of people who were merely curious and not truly reacting to the meme. There is one part of the indictment that is particularly chilling.
“Starting in at least 2015, MACKEY participated in numerous Group DMs. These groups, which at times included dozens of individuals, and at times had overlapping membership, served as forums for the participants to share, among other things, their views concerning how best to influence the Election. Among other things, MACKEY and the members of these groups used the Group DMs to create, refine and share memes and hashtags that members of the groups would subsequently post and distribute.”
They are trying to criminalize everyday political banter right in front of our very eyes. That’s not the only part of the indictment that will terrify the average social media user.
“For example, on or about December 22, 2015, MACKEY and his associates exchanged messaged in the Fed Free Hatechat relating to memes suggesting that certain voters were hiding their desire to vote for a Presidential candidate from on of the two main political parties (“Candidate 2”). MACKEY stated, using MACKEY Account 1, “It’s actually a great meme to spread, make all these shitlibs think they’re (sic) friends are secretly voting for (Candidate2)”.
A participant in the group conversations, a Twitter user, described it as “perfect psyops” to which MACKEY later replied, “We’ve hit upon meme magic motherlode.” The next day, MACKEY used MACKEY Account 1 to retweet a tweet that contained one of the discussed memes with the following text: “If you need support, I am here for you #(Candidate 2)Closet,” the indictment reads.
Trump supporters are going to be locked up because of their refusal to sit down and be quiet. They can’t have the same fun as everyone else on social media because the far left will not allow it. If you took this situation and reversed it, we all know what would happen.
The left would tell the conservative voters who got tricked that they were on their own and it was their own fault. When the left gets tricked? We have to rig the game for them so that they are not held accountable for their actions.
It’s a very tired bit of hypocrisy.
