Though GOP House Speaker nominee Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) obviously has a lot going on right now, somewhere he’s got to be cackling over the left’s/MSM’s newest talking point about him.
As RedState previously reported, The Usual Suspects on the left and in the media have steadfastly refused to use the words “terrorist” or “terrorism” to describe Hamas’ acts of terror against Israeli civilians despite obvious evidence that they’ve raped and killed women and paraded them naked through the streets, taken hostages and used them for war propaganda, and murdered infants – beheading some of them.
The unwillingness of these people to call actual acts of terror terrorism is disturbing enough. But their reluctance to use the “t” word clearly doesn’t extend to Republican leaders here in the U.S., namely Jordan, who has been the recipient of the characterization numerous times this week thanks in part to talking points sent out by antisemitic, pro-Hamas Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).
Omar, as we’ve also noted, has been another who has deliberately refrained from calling Hamas out for what they are. But when it came to Jordan, she didn’t hesitate to trot out the “terrorist” accusation against him, tweeting out an old 2015 statement from retired Congressman and former House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) about him:
“Jordan was a terrorist as a legislator going back to his days in the Ohio House and Senate, _A terrorist. A legislative terrorist.” Former Speaker Boehner
It should be interesting how things go after Republicans elect Jordan Speaker tomorrow. It would certainly bring more chaos in the house and electoral harm.
And in a development that will surprise no one, her fellow Democrats in Congress and the left-wing media took the quote and ran with it:
AND naturally, NBC's 'Early Today' reran the "Jim Jordan as terrorist" line. They made it the end of the story….for extra emphasis. pic.twitter.com/v9aG3gyd0K

On MSNBC, crazy Larry O'Donnell ran a more generous portion of Pete Aguilar describing Jim Jordan as a "terrorist." At least his show also used the T-word for Hamas. Fair and balanced!? pic.twitter.com/LjrcEY1Znr

As part of a softball question to Nancy Pelosi, Joy Reid pulls out the CBS clip of John Boehner singling out Jim Jordan as a "political terrorist," and then repeats the T-word, associating it with a government shutdown. (See Nancy grinning like the Cheshire cat.) pic.twitter.com/WKlyE0FfwB

The below tweet and clip from Newsbusters executive editor Tim Graham perhaps demonstrates it best, noting that in the same broadcast where PBS used the “terrorist” quote about Jim Jordan they merely referred to Hamas terrorists as “militants”:
PBS @NewsHour reporter Lisa Desjardins offers quotes that Jim Jordan is both a "terrorist" and an "insurrectionist."

On the same show, anchor Amna Nawaz called Islamic Jihad a "militant group." Their reporter said Israel killed the "most high-profile militant" in Hamas. pic.twitter.com/smqijtyi1s
It’s anybody’s guess how Jordan will fare in the next round of voting on his bid to become the next Speaker. But there shouldn’t be any question at this point as to the utter moral bankruptcy of Democrats and the press on this issue. Though it’s no doubt amusing on some level to Jordan, once again the mediots and the left are showing us who they really are, and we should believe them.
