We’ve covered what former Secret Service agent and political commentator Dan Bongino has had to say about the cocaine found at the White House, and he certainly hasn’t been shy in saying it.
First, he said there was “zero chance” that a visitor left the cocaine because of how much they check the visitors going into the White House — which was why he was saying he thought it was a family member because family bypasses that.
Then he said that he thought the Secret Service agents were furious that they had to shut down the investigation and that he thinks they “know” who it is that brought the cocaine into the White House.
But this week, he also went on Newsmax with Eric Bolling and dropped some more intriguing tidbits about the case.
He repeated that he thought they had to know who brought in the cocaine. He speculated about Hunter Biden, saying he was there on Friday and the cocaine was found on Sunday. Bongino said, having been a “former criminal investigator,” that while he didn’t know that it was Hunter’s cocaine, he was “suspect numero uno.” He said you’re not getting white powder into the White House without being escorted by staff or having some kind of a “hard pass.” He again reiterated his belief that it was a family member or someone escorted in by a family member.
But then he dropped something truly intriguing.
Let’s just say a friend called me up and said, ‘Don’t preclude the possibility that the cocaine found in the White House there was not accidentally left behind.’ In other words, it was left there deliberately for someone to find, and let you say someone else may have found it. So that’s the story I kind of heard from someone who may know a little something about something. We’ll see what happens, but they know who it is. I’m sure of it.
What that sounds like “the friend” is saying that might mean is that it was a drop — that someone was dropping off the cocaine for someone else to pick up, but then it was found by the authorities. If true, that means someone was using the White House, the people’s house, as a “drop” spot. But that also means that it’s going to be harder to keep the secret because then it’s not just one person who knows; both the “dropper” and the intended “receiver” know. That also sort of gives the “dropper” the goods on the “receiver” if the dropper chooses to hold it over the head of the receiver, which could be a problem if the receiver has any national security connections.
Bongino then went through the process that the person who put the baggie of coke in the cubby in the West Wing would have to have gone through. He said they would have had to put the bag in, shut the door to the locker, then turn the key in the lock, all of which he pointed out would have been pretty hard to do without leaving any fingerprints.
Yet the official word from the Secret Service was that they weren’t able to find any evidence of anything that could be tied to anyone. How is that possible? As I noted, even Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s top guy Andrew Weissmann couldn’t believe it and called it “suspicious.”
The White House doubtless hopes this is closed. But people aren’t going to let it go, and I wouldn’t bet against the truth coming out.
IT IS ABSURD THAT THE WH SAID THEY DO NOT KNOW WHO LEFT THE COCAINE????? THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS AS THE ANSWER?????????
