New York Governor Cuomo’s top aide was caught on tape saying some pretty ridiculous things recently. You may have heard about them. Democrat lawmakers received an apology. Why would anyone who is associated with the wonderful governor need to issue an apology?
After all, this is a man who literally wrote the book on how to handle a raging pandemic.
The audio states what most of us already knew. Information was maliciously withheld from those who could have done something with it. Instead of taking responsibility, Cuomo is doubling down on the “it’s not my fault” defense. The Feds received all of the data that they needed, according to him.
“New York State DOH has always fully and publicly reported all COVID deaths in nursing homes and hospitals,” said Cuomo on Monday. He is not even attempting to take responsibility. Instead, he is taking the coward’s way out. It’s the media’s fault for spinning it this way and of course, those who believe in conspiracy theories had to be whipped under the bus as well.
Health care workers were also blamed for this horrific fiasco. He was not willing to admit to the obvious: his plans were not sound. COVID-19 patients were sent back into these homes to spread the virus even further. In his mind, the nursing home staffers are the ones who should be shouldering all of the responsibility.
“COVID did not get into the nursing homes by people coming from hospitals. COVID got into the nursing homes by staff walking into the nursing home,” Cuomo claimed. We are not sure how he managed to keep a straight face for this. This man has gotten so good at lying, it’s as if he believes them himself.
He’s having a George Costanza moment, for all of the Seinfeld fans out there.
For those who have not seen the show, George has a central tenet that he lives by. He does not consider himself to be a liar because he has convinced himself that his stories are true. Cuomo’s monstrous behavior cost thousands of seniors their lives but he is still in total denial about it.
It’s appalling, to say the least.
Anyone who is willing to question him is treated like some sort of disruptive meddler by the mainstream media. Cuomo’s explanation does not make any sense or hold any water. The Democrats have been spending years treating him like some sort of rock star but there’s nothing fun or interesting about him.
He’s the type who thinks that we are supposed to be impressed with typical lies and political mumbo jumbo. The mainstream media was prepared to take Trump to task for every little thing that he said or did last year. They did not have the same mentality when it came to the lies that Cuomo would not stop spreading.
Trump was the enemy and Cuomo was treated like some sort of conquering hero. It’s funny how that ended up working, isn’t it?
The Democrats should be ready to issue a public apology right now but they are fine with pretending that all is well. They can never admit that one of their own made a serious error because that’s not what they are all about. Cuomo has already taken his victory lap. If you try to tell them that the game is not over yet, that is enough to get them angry.
We are sure that we are going to hear more about how great and wonderful Cuomo is once the vaccines start being rolled out more effectively. They are going to ignore all of the horror stories about how bad things were before, this much we already know. He’s a ghoulish man who will put the lives of millions at risk to enhance his own political legacy.
Anyone who views him through a different lens is deluding the heck out of themselves and that’s that on that.
