Radical leftists have been occupying what some have called an “Antifa Autonomous Zone” at the site of a planned police training center in Georgia for months. They were objecting to the building of what they called “Cop City” and living in “makeshift treehouses.”
But that wasn’t all.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the group had been responsible for a reign of terror in the area for months. The GBI said the group had been involved in carjacking, various crimes against persons, destruction of property, arson, and attacks against public safety officials, including the police and EMT workers.
In one instance, they allegedly attacked Richard Porter and almost burned him alive. Porters said they threw things at him, including a “gas bomb.” He fled, leaving his truck behind which was burned out. Porter told the channel: “It seemed to me like they were going to burn the truck with me in it.”
In May, Atlanta police arrested eight protesters accused of tossing Molotov cocktails at officers escorting construction workers to the site of the facility, and the FBI was on scene amid a “concerted effort” by actors from at least seven other states committing criminal acts to stop the build.

Finally, the GBI put an end to it, arresting five people this week who were at the site and charging them with domestic terrorism and other charges. When the police cleaned out the area where the leftists had been, they found explosive devices, gasoline, and road flares.
Andy Ngo identified some of the people in this thread. Their zone said, “You are now leaving the USA” and you can see some of them in black hoods.
The people who were arrested came from all over, with only one from Georgia.
Francis Carroll, a 22-year-old from Maine, was charged with criminal trespass, domestic terrorism, aggravated assault, felony obstruction, interference with government property and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
Nicholas Olson, a 25-year-old from Nebraska, was charged with domestic terrorism, aggravated assault, interference with government property and obstruction.
Serena Hertel, a 25-year-old from California, was charged with criminal trespassing, domestic terrorism, aggravated assault, obstruction and inciting a riot.
Leonardo Vioselle, 20, from Macon, Georgia, was charged with criminal trespass, domestic terrorism and possession for tools of the crime.
Arieon Robinson, a Wisconsin 22-year-old, was charged with criminal trespass, obstruction and domestic terrorism.
Carroll was from affluent Kennebunkport, Maine, the same town where the Bush family lives.
But the friends of the “protesters,” claimed that they were just “peacefully holding the forest space right now” and were angry that the police shot pepper balls and gas at them when they arrested them.
Sorry, guys, attacking the police and throwing gas bombs at people isn’t “peacefully” holding anything, not to mention that you have no right to be there, to begin with. Finally — likely because it’s Georgia — it sounds like they’re charging leftist radicals with something that has some teeth and sounds on target. We’ve seen so many commit all kinds of violence and get off scot-free, it’s become unusual to see real action like this taken, although it obviously took a while, likely because they are leftists. So where is the liberal national media reporting on this? Where are the Democrats calling this out? Mostly crickets.
