There’s a lot of need right now in hard-to-reach areas of the Southeast that are suffering as a result of Hurricane Helene.
While there seem to be a lot of private people and organizations helping out, many have been upset with the Biden-Harris administration’s response, as lives hang in the balance.
Joe Biden spoke at a White House briefing on Friday, bragging about what he thought was a good jobs report. What he didn’t do was really say anything about the hurricane, apart from saying the government needed to make sure they had money. Hardly anything to show that he even gave a darn. It was typically tone-deaf, thinking only about how he could burnish his own image with the report. His team did talk about some things FEMA was doing, but Biden’s statement showed his priorities.

Biden wasn’t the only one who was tone-deaf in the administration. At a time when Americans are particularly upset and some are in need of help, people did not appreciate what Secretary of State Antony Blinken tweeted on Friday night:
The U.S. is at the forefront of humanitarian response to the growing crisis in Lebanon, announcing nearly $157 million in assistance today. We are committed to supporting those in need and delivering essential aid to displaced civilians, refugees and the communities hosting them.
How could he possibly be so clueless? Yet there it is. What about the humanitarian crisis right here? At least 215 people are reportedly dead.
Then, too, how could Blinken post that right after DHS head Alejandro Mayorkas claimed that FEMA doesn’t have enough funding to last through the hurricane season?
People were outraged, and Blinken was ratioed into next week:
The post ends with: “Seriously — is the Biden Administration trying to sabotage the Kamala Harris campaign?”
If we needed one last reminder of how much we need to vote these people out, this would be it.
Update: We’d be remiss if we left out this reaction from RedState Deputy Managing Editor, Susie Moore, who nailed it:

IMO, Blinken is the worst Sec. of State this country has ever had, and is an appropriate member or this administration. This is the worst administration in my memory! GOD help us, Please!
