Israel Delivers a Blistering Response UN Sec General’s Disgraceful Call for Ceasefire

The UN is largely a worthless entity that takes a lot of our money but doesn’t seem to use it for much good and certainly doesn’t use it to champion the causes about which we have historically been concerned. They also tend to support the people who wish us ill.

Now, you would think that it would be easy to condemn the Iranian leadership’s ballistic missile attack on Israel.

But apparently not if you’re UN Secretary General António Guterres, as our Rebecca Downs at our sister site Townhall reported.

“I condemn the broadening of the Middle East conflict with escalation after escalation. This must stop. We absolutely need a ceasefire,” he says.

Notice what you don’t see there is condemnation of Iran or any of their terrorist proxies.

And if you read between the lines a little more, what they’re really saying with the comment is Israel should not respond, now they need a ceasefire. To protect Iran.

Guterres got ratioed into next week for his weak, feckless statement. Many called on him to resign and blasted the UN for the being useless or siding with terrorists.

But perhaps the most pointed responses came from Israel’s official account as well as former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

We condemn your inability to string together a tweet which holds Iran responsible for firing 181 ballistic missiles at 10 million Israeli civilians.

You’ve gotta be kidding. You condemn ”the broadening”?!
You just aren’t able to blurt the simple words “I condemn the Islamic Republic of Iran who just shot roughly 180 deadly ballistic missiles towards the citizens of Israel.”
Quit.

Where was he to condemn the attacks by Hezbollah on Israel from Lebanon?

But regardless of the UN, Israel isn’t going to give Iran a ceasefire after this ballistic missile attack. As we reported, Israel is already promising to respond.

The Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon said Iran would soon feel the consequences. And it “will be painful.”

As we reported earlier, the Speaker of the Knesset Amir Ohana told Ayatollah Khamenei on X, “Say hello to the end.”
