Tamika Palmer, the mother of Breonna Taylor, recently called out the Black Lives Matter group in Louisville, Kentucky, and other activist pages on a Facebook post for using her daughter’s death for money and political gain. She used to post to talk about how the only people who’ve supported her since Breonna’s death have been family and friends.
Breonna Taylor was a 26-year-old woman who was shot and killed last March during a police raid and has had her name promoted and repeated by BLM groups. BLM is a Marxist-based organization that doesn’t care about black lives and promoting equality, but promoting itself. The corruption runs deep and everybody is starting to see that.
“I could walk in a room full of people who claim to be here for Breonna’s family who don’t even know who I am. I’ve watched y’all raise money on behalf of Breonna’s family who has never done a damn thing for us nor have we needed it…or asked so talk about fraud. It’s amazing how many people have lost focus. I’m a say this before I go I’m so sick of some of y’all and I was last anybody who needs it,” Palmer wrote on Facebook.
Palmer wrote that while she has never personally dealt with BLM Louisville, she has found them to be “fraud.” She also mentioned the protesters at Jefferson Square Park in downtown Louisville, which is often called Injustice Square or Breeway. For nearly a year, the park has been the center of the Breonna Taylor protesting, in which Palmer wrote that the people there have been “100” in terms of holding down and without needing the recognition, but that most of them there wouldn’t even know she was.
In the Facebook post, Palmer also called out democratic Rep. Attica Scott for being a “fraud” and trying to gain political points. No-knock warrants was a practice that drew criticism in the mainstream media after Breonna Taylor got shot. Rep. Scott even pushed for the ban of no-knock warrants in a bill named after Breonna Taylor. Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear signed a less restrictive version of the bill at the beginning of April, which would be a partial ban to the use of a no-knock warrant rather than an outright ban.
Besides Breonna Taylor’s case, the mothers of Tamir Rice and Richard Risher, Samaria Rice and Lisa Simpson, are also calling out civil rights groups and organizations for exploiting the deaths of their son. In a joint statement to the Black Lives Matter Global network, they asked activists and civil rights groups to step out of the spotlights and stop holding press conferences involving the names of their children. They also requested that BLM L.A pay Simpson the $5,000 they supposedly raised for her son’s funeral. So far, she’s never received a cent.
“We never hired them to be the representatives in the fight for justice for our dead loved ones murdered by the police. The ‘activists’ have events in our cities and have not given us anything substantial for using our loved ones’ images and names on their fliers,” both mothers said.
Rice also criticized Tamika Mallory’s Grammy performance with Lil Baby after they performed “The Bigger Picture,” which is a song about police brutality. Rice captioned the performance and wrote “look at this clout chaser. Did she lose something in this fight I don’t think so. That’s the problem they take us for a joke that’s why we never have justice cause of s*** like this,” she wrote.
The father of Michael Brown Jr. is also requesting money from BLM after an exclusive report revealed that the BLM Global Network raised more than $90 million in 2020. Brown’s family said they wanted to hold BLM “accountable” after raising money in his son’s name.
BLM has repeatedly manipulated and monetized from last year’s insurgencies and will only encourage more. Just look at BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors, who used donations from the movement to purchase four high-end homes for $3.2 million over the last few years. They couldn’t care less about the people they exploit if it results in deeper pockets and bigger homes. That’s a privilege.
