Bill Maher is still a Democrat and he’s probably going to vote for Joe Biden, if he votes at all, because of his Trump Derangement Syndrome.
But the funny thing is, he keeps giving everyone else great reasons why they shouldn’t. And he believes that Biden is going to lose, as he explained last week.

On Friday, as our sister site Townhall laid out, Maher outlined the two main issues he thought would sink Biden if he did indeed lose.
First, “he’s old,” and people just can’t get past that about him.
Um, yeah, and the incoherence doesn’t help either.
But then Maher lays out all the problems Joe has built for himself with the border and illegal immigration. “Just on a political level, I don’t think they could have handled it worse,” he said.
Maher pointed out how Biden was finally issuing an executive order regarding the border “after saying he couldn’t do anything.”
Then he mocked the 2,500 limit in the EO that would initiate action. “Fire Marshall says, ‘No More!’ He’s going to come and close the club! If you don’t have a stamp on your hand, you can’t get back in!” He said it was like “surge pricing with Uber. It’s a bizarre scheme.” He said it looks like he did “nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing” and that this is his last ditch effort, although he does, erroneously, try to put some blame on Republicans for spiking the horrible bill that solved nothing. “This is his last minute, before the election, Hail Mary pass,” he said. Exactly, you know voters are going to get that Biden has done nothing and it’s all about trying to save himself in the election.
Podcaster Matt Welch noted Biden did it knowing it would likely not survive the courts. “And it’s an admission he could have done it the whole time, he didn’t. You broke it, you bought it, it’s on him,” journalist Abigail Shrier said. The audience clapped loudly in agreement when she said that.
Maher explained that more than 9 million people have come in illegally since Biden took office, which he said was more than all the people in Nicaragua. “He let in all of Nicaragua, equivalent,” Maher snarked. He said the problem with the Democrats is that they refuse to say how many is too many, that their answer is “infinity or you’re a racist.” Boy, does that nail the Democratic attitude.
Shrier then nailed Biden, noting that he campaigned on reversing former President Donald Trump’s policies and he did it, but “now he’s stuck with the consequences.”
That’s a great description of why not to vote for Biden, although there are of course many other reasons. It perfectly lays out his failure and his craven actions only now that the election is coming. Americans get it and they’re not happy with Biden over it, and many are going to Trump.
“Listen to these eye-popping numbers: Trump has a 30-point edge with registered voters on the question of ‘Which candidate would handle immigration and border security better’…including Trump has a 23-point edge among Latino voters,” said Maher.
“Look at the vote totals in South Texas. It’s crazy. 90% or more Hispanic areas, they’ve flipped. It’s a matter of 50 percentage points towards the Republicans and towards Trump. It’s gigantic,” added Welch, who noted that Democrats don’t have a story to reverse this trend. The Left’s narrative on immigration is too chaotic to sell to the electorate.
Those numbers are just killer, and if they hold, they’re going to give Trump the election.
