Biden Admits He Could Have Done More To Fight Omicron Had He Only Known…Those 500-Million Promised Test Kits?…Yeah, Read All About It

Rule number one. Don’t make promises you can’t keep. Joe Biden may have, at one time, been aware of this unofficial law, but at 79-years-old, his mind has a few cylinders that aren’t firing correctly. He’s the little train who still thinks he can, but in reality, his engine’s blown a gasket. Biden flashed his dentures at America while blindly promising that 500 million rapid COVID-19 tests would find their way’s into every home in the country. Not to worry. He was on the job. But since the old guy forgot that other people needed to be involved in the process to make it happen, his plan isn’t going down the way he’s probably forgotten he said it would.

If nothing else Biden should at least receive a little credit for fessing up. He admitted how his administration could and should have done more to get the tests in people’s hands for the holiday season when they were all gathering, which was the intended purpose. The kits are still coming, but they won’t be here until sometime in January once the holidays are over and they aren’t needed so much.

Doctors and health officials from around the world rang the alarm when Omicron began flexing its muscles. They were concerned at how rapidly the variant spread, even to those who were previously vaccinated. But Biden wants us to believe he wasn’t aware of this until it was too late.

“It’s not enough. It’s clearly not enough. If we’d have known, we’d have gone harder, quicker if we could have,” he said in a virtual meeting with state governors. “You could argue that we should have known a year ago, six months ago, two months ago, and a month ago.” Correct Mr. Biden. We could argue that.

Biden said his shortcoming in no way represents a “failure” but that he wished he had thought about placing the huge order “two months ago.” Presidents aren’t supposed to wish. They’re supposed to do and they’re supposed to have America’s back. It’s what they’re paid to do.

These types of comments aren’t doing a thing to build confidence in an administration that’s fledging as is. If you recall, Biden haphazardly vowed to eliminate COVID-19 if elected, and oddly enough, enough voters believed him. He was bigger and tougher than any virus, and he, and he alone would body slam it to the mat. But as the pandemic enters its third brutal year, the White House can’t keep up with it and it’s largely due to the negligence of the president.

While on the campaign trail, Biden ironically made a mockery of Donald Trump’s failure to contain the virus within its first year. A virus that was brand new. A virus that even leading health officials knew little to nothing about. This is no longer the case and Biden has had all of the information he’s needed to act appropriately but has failed to do so.

Political blows are coming faster than Biden can ward them off, and this one scored a direct hit. Come 2024, the Democrats are going to seriously pay for the blunders of their chosen one, but eh…that’s their problem.
