Florida deals with a lot of new residents. They come in from New York, California, and other liberal places. People move for the sunshine and for the change in politics.
Yes, even Democrats find the lunacy of liberal politics to be exhausting. So, they pick up and move to get away from it all.
Careful, though. The way that the “new” Floridians vote can transform the state. If too many Democrats vote in a liberal way, Florida will soon be just as liberal as where the people moved away from.
This is what Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd is warning people of. This sheriff has always been the kind of guy, to be honest. He speaks up and says it the way it is – and that’s why he continues to get the vote.
He warned new residents at a press conference that she should avoid voting the “stupid way” they did when they lived in the states up north.
“We’re a special place and there are millions and millions of people who like to come here,” Judd said. So, he wants to remind everyone not to be stupid with their vote.
Anyone who gets to the ballot and votes in a stupid way could be the cause for the state becoming less than desirable. One of the reasons why so many millions of people choose to move to Florida is because of the Republican slant.
For those who do vote stupidly, Judd says, “You’ll get what they got.”
This is not a threat. It’s a promise. After all, the only way to turn a state from red to blue is by way of voters. And the state has been red for a long time because people enjoy keeping liberalism up north.
Judd has made the comments just as Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a bill to crack down on the violent protests. As other states suffer from rioters tearing up the streets, DeSantis is quick to condemn – and pass the legislation to ensure that rioters don’t get out of control.
This is while there are other states actually encouraging rioters to get loud and get confrontational.
Judd reminds people that there’s a reason why Florida is fun – and much of it has to do with the 49-year-low crime rate.
Wait, that’s an impressive crime rate. Why is that? Republican leadership. It’s amazing what the GOP can accomplish.
For anyone who has their doubts, Judd is there to provide the reasoning. The same people who are against the anti-rioting bill are the same ones who think that more people should be let out of prisons.
There are plenty of states that are letting people out of jail. And, many of those same states are encouraging the riots. Not surprisingly, those same states have crime rates that have been skyrocketing over the past few years.
Progressive cities are showing what they have to offer. They’re putting innocent people in danger just so that the criminals are kept safe. That’s not the right message – and it is causing many people to be terrified to live in or visit those cities. Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland have let things go too far.
It’s no longer about “We the people” in the progressive cities. They’re more concerned about allowing people to riot – even if that means putting innocent lives on the back burner.
Guess what? Florida is different. “We’ve got a new law and we’re going to use it if you make us,” Judd goes on to say. Governor DeSantis is committed to protecting the people. The mob mentality of rioters will not be tolerated.
It’s important to see what Florida is doing because they’re setting a precedent. They’re choosing to protect the people instead of the rioters. If more progressive states would do the same, fewer lives would be lost.
The other states may already be a lost cause. As long as voters don’t get stupid in Florida, it may remain red and, therefore, focused on protecting people.
